Spilag Controlling System

We have all of our protective clothing regularly and comprehensively tested and certified by the Swiss Textile Testing Institute.

This gives you and us the assurance that your protective clothing provides the highest possible level of protection and complies with the applicable European standards.

Norms

An overview of the various European standards that characterise our protective clothing:

EN 13688:2013
The basic requirements for workwear manufactured by Spilag fulfil the specified requirements.

EN ISO 20471:2013
High-visibility protection. The garment guarantees good recognisability in dangerous situations in all possible lighting conditions during the day, as well as when illuminated by vehicle headlights in the dark. It serves to make you conspicuous in poor visibility.

EN ISO 11495:2008
Electrostatic properties; dissipative protective clothing to prevent ignitable discharges.

EN ISO 11611:2007
Welding protection. For occasional welding and related processes with comparable hazards. It protects the wearer against flames, welding spatter, radiant heat and brief, unintentional electrical contact.

EN ISO 11612:2008
Heat-exposed work. Protective clothing for heat-exposed work with limited flame treatment. The performance classes are indicated by the code letters A to F.

EN ISO 14116:2008
Heat and flame protection. Protective clothing for protection against accidental contact with small ignition flames where there is no significant heat load to prevent the clothing from catching fire and becoming a hazard itself.

EN ISO 13034:2005
Protective clothing against liquid chemicals with limited protective performance. The reusable protective clothing offers protection against liquid chemicals for limited use. At low risk, the clothing also offers protection against the effects of liquid aerosols, sprays and light splashes.

EN 343:2003+A1
Protective clothing against rain and bad weather. The clothing is tested for waterproofness and breathability.

IEC 61482-2:2009
Live working. Protective clothing against the thermal hazards of an electric arc. The protective clothing is used in the event of an arc fault hazard. However, this does not apply to the risk of electric shock. It prevents the most severe burns caused by ignition and melting of the fabric on the skin.
